1. Who are you?
HEY!!! My name is Bo and I am 19 years old (and probably one of the tallest Commotians)
2. What do you do?
I’m doing CIS for two years now and I’m spending the rest of my time adoring cats and listening to classic rock
3. Why are you a member of Commotie?
To get to know people from the program and to enjoy the fun (non😊)communication related activities
4. Are you an active member as well?
Yes! Watch me organizing In-House Days with the coolest committee members everrr! Plus, the committee competition forces me to be an active member: I hate losing…
5. How do you friends call you?
Well my name already is the shortest name existing, but somehow they call me ‘Bob’, ‘Boaz’ or ‘Bootje’ more often than ‘Bo’
6. To which animal do you relate the most?
Merle always calls me a hamster and coincidentally Merel also called me a hamster during the board dinner… So I guess the decision is taken for me
7. Which activity of Commotie is most memorable?
Tough one, while our beloved Mrs. Covid did not allow us to do a lot, however, I really liked the Valentine’s music bingo while a lot of Commotians were present
8. What are you most proud of?
My dad, Henk! He’s a dedicated guitar player and I always look up to what he has achieved. He played at Pinkpop, in the US and now does shows in The Netherlands (go visit him in MartiniPlaza in October <3)! I’m proud of how he enjoys what he’s doing, the talent he has and how he also is the best dad I could ever imagine
9. What is your favorite spot in Groningen?
Bij Britta. The coffees and pies are a-ma-zing. Plus, when the sun’s out, there is no better place to enjoy it as on their terrace. For the dog lovers among us: the owner’s dog is always there!
10. What did you want to be when growing up?
I had a weird fascination for planes when I was younger, so I wanted to become an F-16 pilot. Unfortunately, I am literally blind without my lenses and I already feel sick when being in a car for one minute, so imagine how I’d feel in a F-16 😊
11. What is your favorite way of spending your free time?
Everything culture and music related! I adore being at museums, theatres, concerts, festivals and so on
12. What ability do you really want to have?
The ability to fly so I never have to take the over-over-overcrowded train from Zwolle to Groningen anymore
13. What is your biggest guilty pleasure?
Buying jars of apple sauce and finishing them with only a spoon and a few minutes of time
14. What don’t you like?
I don’t know if anyone can relate, but coming home after a long day with heavy bags, suddenly overheated, trying to look for your keys, the bags falling off your shoulder… I know it is specific but it gives me extreme anger issues
15. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I’ll now present my biggest dream (and dreams can come true!): working for Ferrari as a communication or marketing employee, living in Maranello (Italy), eating a lot of Tagliatelle ai Funghi and HOPEFULLY finally be tanned
16. Which Commotie member would you vote for to become president?
Merel!! She will convince everyone with her smooth-talking
17. Which two members of Commotie should go on a date?
I prefer not to cause any drama and will therefore wisely keep my mouth shut 😉
