1. Who are you?

Hello everyone!! I’m Wilma, I’m 24 years old and I’m from Sweden

2. What do you do?

I’m a second year CIS student and I’m also in Honours College.

3. Why are you a member of Commotie?

I joined during covid to make friends from my study program (and just make friends in general hehe)

4. Are you an active member as well?

Nope! I didn’t think I’d have time during my second year so I just tag along to some activities and try to blend in.

5. How do you friends call you?

Wilmis, Wilmita, Wilmer, Willie… lots of creative options, take your pick

6. To which animal do you relate the most?

I’d say a bear because sometimes I go into hibernation and don’t talk to anyone. Also I eat A LOT

7. Which activity of Commotie is most memorable?

I always say the beer yoga so this time I’m gonna switch it up and say the White Elephant activity last Christmas! We were a really nice group of people just cooking, drinking (lots of) wine and talking

8. What are you most proud of?

I’m quite proud of how far I’ve gotten from where I was a few years ago. I used to be very insecure and scared of new things. Now I’ve spent the past five years travelling, studying and working abroad, I’ve made friends from all over the world and I’ve just simply learned to not take things too seriously.

9. What is your favorite spot in Groningen?

My apartment, no joke. It’s an amazing apartment. And I have this window that’s perfect for people watching because I can see everyone but no one ever looks up at me (yes, my real age is actually 83)

10. What did you want to be when growing up?

A teacher told me once in 3rd grade that I should become a writer and I just kinda went with it and decided that’s what I wanted to be. Still haven’t published any books though ☹

11. What is your favorite way of spending your free time?

Answering this question gave me a crisis cause I literally can’t think of anything else than painting, listening to music and going to the gym??? Can someone please help me find a hobby

12. What ability do you really want to have?

I wanna be able to play every instrument in the world. Like, in the entire world. At the same time. And then I could start a one-woman orchestra with just myself and make lots of money.

13. What is your biggest guilty pleasure?

Ugly dancing to schlager and putting an unhealthy amount of salt on everything I eat

14. What don’t you like?

There are many things I don’t like, but my top 3 are: Slow walkers, people who spit on the street, and people who sneeze in their hands. And especially people who do all of these at the same time

15. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Hopefully alive and well

16. Which Commotie member would you vote for to become president?

Flora! If Flora would be president, society would be very structured and organized but fun and full of cheap beer. Perfect combination.

17. Which two members of Commotie should go on a date?

18. To whom do you want to pass the keyboard and why?

I’d like to pass it on to my lovely friend Juanita, I think it’s her time to shine!!
